The Kelly Ado has been around for almost three decades now. One of the earliest, most striking and enduring re-designs of Hermes’ iconic Kelly bag, the Ado, or à dos meaning ‘back’ in French, was produced into the early 2000’s before taking a decade long hiatus from the Hermes ateliers, only to return again in recent years to fanatic collector excitement! This example from 2001 is particularly unusual, not only for its exotic crocodile exterior, but for its classic Toile H interior. Beyond that, it is the large 27cm size, featuring a very handy handle at the top, furthering the Kelly aesthetic. Maintained in exceptional condition with the plastic intact on the hardware, this is a backpack that is sure to rise above the rest.
